Ozone Generators May be the Next Health Revolution
Ozone generators that work on water and oil can be used to eliminate bacteria and viruses. Ozone is a powerful sterilizer and deodorizer which can be used to clean just about anything. Utilizing an ozone generator to sterilize anything from sponges to linens is the perfect way to increase the level of cleanliness in your home.
One of the most common uses for ozone generators is within the home spa. Adding an ozonator to the spa reduces the bacterial load and minimizes the need for additional chemical agents. While it can’t completely replace chlorine or bromine, it makes a huge difference, not only in the amount of chemicals needed but also in the smell those chemicals generate.
There are a growing number of people who are using ozonated water and oils to treat open sores and ulcers. It is believed that the ozonation of these substances may help in reducing the bacterial load of the injuries treated. Since ozone quickly reverts back to oxygen liquids treated with an ozonator need to be used quickly to retain the benefits of the ozone.
Other uses for ozonated water include cleaning and drinking. For people with compromised immune systems, this might be of particular benefit. We all know that food is crawling with a number of microscopic critters when we purchase it. Using the ozonated water to wash it provides the double benefit of reducing the amount of soap needed for a thorough cleaning. You can sterilize your toothbrush between replacements by setting it in ozonated water for five minutes, and some allergy sufferers swear by the benefits of drinking ozonated water.
While the FDA has not yet evaluated the benefits of ozonating water or oils, European countries have been incorporating ozone treatments in health care for 50 years. Oils are used for skin treatments and water for a variety of benefits. Perhaps it’s time that we jump on the bandwagon.
